It can happen that when trying to launch 'Inventory mode' or 'Detalys' instead of the wipe software, the whole software crashes in to a with screen with "WipeDrive Engine stopped responding" or a similar text. 


There are a few known causes for this. 


No (valid) licenses available

If you do not have inventory mode or Detalys licenses available this could be a cause. Please confirm if you have valid licenses available. Feel free to reach out to us if you do not have them or if they look like to be expired.  


Auto start

If you have the option 'disk=-1' turned on, which will auto start the wipe, this could be bugging the setup as this is not properly working with this software. Please put the # in front of the line (#disk=-1) and this should be fixed. 



This could also be a know cause when having 'disk=-1' turned on and trying to wipe a machine. This happens more often on servers.
