In some cases the operators are not allowed to change the wipe pattern to just any one we do support, or can only choose between a couple of them and not the whole list. 

For this we offer the option to remove some from the list. 


Note: This can only be done via the wd-options.cfg config file. 


Under Wiping and verifying you can find the option:

wipe-choices=

By removing the # in front of it and add the pattern you would leave in the list you can narrow down the list. 


Let's make an example for only NIST 1 pass, NIST 3 passes, HMG Baseline, HMG Enhanced, DoD 3 passes and DoD 7 passes, we suggest to add always the SSD Smart wipe there as well 


For this it should look like this:
