MySQL in Linux might have some problems with the authentication. 


If this error is shown, please command below options:  

SQL Error Opening: Authentication plugin 'caching_sha2_password' cannot be loaded: /user/lib64/mysql/plugin/chaching_sha_password.so: Cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory QMYSQL: Unable to connect. 



Open the terminal and command below; 

mysql -u root -p

[enter password if set]

ALTER USER ‘[user]’@’[IP]’ IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY ‘[password]’; FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

exit


[user] = the user of the database

[IP] = the IP range of where you can reach the database from, use % for all IP's

[password] = the IP of the user for the database


e.g.:

ALTER USER ‘wipedrive’@’%’ IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY ‘Test12345!’; FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
