WipeDrive has some saving locations to where the reports/logs can be saved at. 

Here a list of most of the options: 

  • USB - In client or WD PXE server
  • FTP - We support all FTP Protocols
  • Samba Share 
  • SQL - We do support MySQL, MS SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Email 
  • HTTP & HTTPS logging
  • AIKEN server folder (awbclient - wd - logs)
  • ERP tools (i.e. Makor and Razor ERP). 

It is possible to change them a bit to give them an extra layer. 


When saving them to SQL you can do this to an Cloud SQL location. Most common one is MySQL in the cloud which will be available at most web-hosting providers. So in most cases also available behind your website and therefor free of charge/with no extra costs. 


This is also the case for FTP. As your website has images on it, those are added to an FTP server. You can use this same server for saving reports/logs. This is not the best option, but still possible. 


In case you want to save to a location as OneDrive, Dropbox, GoogleDrive or any other solution that has a sync folder on your Windows machine. Let's make an example in a Dropbox location.

Create a folder in Dropbox, same as done here below.


When selecting the the folder to be used as Samba Share you just select "Reports" in the Dropbox folder. 

It will now use this folder as Share folder, which will be synced every xx time to the cloud. 



Above will also work if FTP is used locally on a Linux machine. 

For that you might want to change the saving folder in vsftpd.conf 

local_root={folder structure to cloud sync folder} 

E.g. local_root=/John/Dropbox/WipeDrive/Reports
